GRACE'S PRINCESS PARTY - Cinderella, Belle, and a Carriage

We participated in Make-a-Wish Wish Night last May and met some great people.  We got to meet, Natalie, who is a cancer survivor.  In reading her blog, I discovered that she loved princesses too.  Well...every good princess party needs a princess to attend!  I contacted Natalie's mom and she passed along some names to us.  Kari contacted to teachers (how awesome is that!) and suddenly we had Cinderella and Belle ready to attend our party!

Cinderella and Belle were awesome!  They parked down the street and made a big entrance walking up to our house.  They greeted Grace with a Princess Storybook that they had autographed and then assumed the position for lots (and lots and lots) of pictures.

Our awesome party planners brought this gorgeous carriage...because every princess needs a carriage!!

Belle and Cinderella were such sports in taking pictures with everyone.  Even after all of the girls changed their clothes, they hung around at the party and mingled with the kids.

One of my favorite moments of the whole party.....  I was looking everywhere for Bennett.  I couldn't find him.  Finally, I looked out the front door.  He was sitting in the carriage, dressed as Flynn Rider from Tangled, and just taking it all in.  Such an awesome memory for me.

GRACE'S PRINCESS PARTY - Grace's Princess Transformation

As I stated before, Grace didn't know that we were having a party for her.  After our trip to Sweet and Sassy, we went and ran a few errands.  When we pulled into the driveway, there was an amazing carriage sitting on our front yard.

Pulling into the driveway

What is that thing in our yard??

VERY surprised and a little bit shy at all the attention

My gorgeous girl!

GRACE'S PRINCESS PARTY - The Clothes!

2 Friends and a Party showed up with these amazing dresses and shoes for the girls to wear.  They asked ahead of time for each girls size so the dresses were labelled and ready for each girl.

After each girl was dressed, the lined up on the stairs and awaited Grace's arrival.  Once she got changed, we had the Presentation of Princesses.  (and princes)

GRACE'S PRINCESS PARTY - The Decorations

2 Friends and a Party graciously donated this party to Grace as her send-off party.  They provided dresses, shoes, cupcakes, crafts, games, and all the decorations.  OH MY GOODNESS!!  And these weren't just any decorations.  They were absolutely gorgeous...nicer than I had at my wedding.  Fresh flowers were everywhere.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into my house.  It was transformed.  The pictures don't do it justice!

The boys had knight helmets and swords.  They made fire-breathing dragons.  So cute!

The girls made tiaras and wands.  Adorable!

Next up....princess dresses!

GRACE'S PRINCESS PARTY - Surprise!

One of our AMAZING wish granters arranged for Grace to have a party beyond parties as her send-off party for our wish trip.

Let's back up.  This party initially started as a little shindig at our house.  Some cake and snacks...play a couple of princess games...  Late one night, that morphed into a party beyond my wildest dreams. On a whim, Kari (our wish granter) emailed a company that throws princess parties.  She asked them if they would be willing to donate a carriage they used for their parties for some pictures.   Instead....they donated the whole party!!

Grace knew a lot about our trip.  She knew all of the extra things that she was going to get to do and where all we were planning on going.  So, I decided that I wanted this to become a surprise party for her.  I told Kari that I would take Grace to lunch and we could go "shopping" for things for our trip.

Surprise #1.....Kari contacted Sweet and Sassy and asked if they would be willing to donate a princess updo and manicure.  Maria was so sweet when we arrived.  We told Grace that she was getting her nails done since she was going to meet the princesses.  Maria asked her if she wanted her hair fixed for fun.  After her hair was fixed, she got to go for a manicure and pedicure...complete with foot rub!  Lucky little princess!!
