MAKE-A-WISH RODEO

Our family was invited to go to the Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo with Make-a-Wish.  A wish kid from Minnesota wished to come to the Stock Show and we got to be part of the welcoming committee.  The kids were so excited about attending the show!  Unfortunately, when I got home from school, Maggie was burning up.  A quick trip to the doctor revealed sickness that required antibiotics so she had to miss all of the fun.

Sweet girl was miserable

Our seats were awesome!!

Waiting for Tyler to arrive

Grace is guaranteed to be found in Lauren's lap!

These kids love their Lauren!!

We had dinner in a museum - which was super cool.  One of the things in the museum was the ability to go for a bull ride.  Here are the kids riding a bull!

MAKE-A-WISH HOLLYWOOD DOMINO

There is an event that travels around the United States called Hollywood Domino.  This year the celebrity guest was Vanessa Hudgins.  She chose Make-a-Wish as one of the recipients from the event.  All of this to say...Grace was invited to a private art party to create art to be auctioned off at the event.  She was so excited.  Once we arrived, she was paired with Jordan and they created a beautiful masterpiece!!
Love our new Make-a-Wish bow that Ms. Heather made!!

MAKE-A-WISH TRAIN RIDE

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad hosted several Make-a-Wish families for a special train ride.  We have heard about the train ride, but we were on our Wish Trip last year and missed the ride.  We had a great time!!  Daddy and Bennett decided to go to Austin to the game, so we took Grandpa and Nana along with us.  It was super cool to ride on the train.  We walked from one end to the other to see all of the different cars.  I loved the bedroom...it was much bigger than I envisioned.  I could do some good sleeping on that train!!

Lauren works for Make-a-Wish.  She and Grace have this special bond....so much so that Grace cried on the way home because she wanted to stay with Lauren.
