MONSTER JAM

Thanks to Beads of Courage, we were able to attend Monster Jam for the 2nd year in a row.  I never thought that I would enjoy sitting around watching huge, loud trucks driving in dirt....but I loved it!!  And the kids loved it too!!

I was sooo excited to see Dennis Anderson was driving Grave Digger.  We used to watch him on a TV show and really like him.

We had AMAZING seats!!

Grave Digger

This truck cracked me up!!!

Dennis Anderson

Our heart buddy, Pierson, who is a total cutie pie!!

Hard to see, but Outlaw carried a Courage the Tiger stuffed animal for  Beads of Courage

Gotta love a good wreck

No worries....everyone was safe!

Grave Digger lost all of the outside of his truck on his last run

HOOPS FOR HOPE

One of our Amazing Little Hearts board members teaches at Trinity Valley.  She worked with the basketball teams to organize a fundraiser for our group.  We were able to attend the game this year.  The kids had so much fun!!!

After the game, the kids got to go into the locker room and meet the players.  They were so excited.  Coach Lovato was sooo nice to the kids.  Her players were outrageously nice and loved the kids.  All of the girls carried beads for Beads of Courage on their uniforms.

It was a great day!!

BEADS OF COURAGE

We had a really neat experience this weekend.  Grace has been involved in Beads of Courage with our hospital.  It has been a great program to be involved with so it helps alleviate some of the anxiety that accompanies hospital procedures.

Beads of Courage

We were invited to attend an event in Fort Worth at SiNaCa Studios.  We were able to watch beads being made from scratch.  It was so interesting.  They had torches set up in one area making beads.

There was a station set up to make bracelets...which all of the kids enjoyed!

We were able to watch them make large glass pieces from the furnace.  It was very cool to hear them tell about the process they go through to create beautiful glass art.

Thanks to Beads of Courage and SiNaCa Studios for a great time!!
